NCCCO Crane Operator

The NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator Program is conducted over a period of four days. The class consists of three days of training and written exams on the fourth day. Classroom training runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Generally, candidates will spend all of day one in the classroom, day two will be in the classroom until mid afternoon, then will work outside on the machines with the instructor. Day three will be focused on load charts and additional review. Candidates will be in the classroom until around lunchtime, and then move outside to work on the machines. Candidates are required to have appropriate PPE (hard hat, work boots) in order to practice with the crane(s).

Each student will receive a course manual complete with detailed information and instruction for use during the classroom portion, as well as, a handbook provided by NCCCO that is designed to answer any questions, and to outline the requirements of the exam.

Candidates have 12 months from the time they take their Written exam to take their Practical Exam (Hands-On Portion). Candidates should have ample time to take their practical exams during the week of training. The practical exams coinciding with your certification, are included in the cost of the class.
